Darnell Enterprises designs and manufacturers a line of bird houses and feeders called the "Darnell River Collection." The collection consists of more than 40 models. Each house is unique in nature and built for specific birds. We design and manufacture a line of planters and bird feeders. We also carry stands, poles, bird seed and other related items.
All bird houses and planters are constructed in Western Red Cedar. This wood is gathering attention as the "worry free" material. Long known throughout it's range as virtually pest free and extremely durable material, because it contains a naturally occurring substance called tanin. This natural preservative gives the wood it's characteristic spicy smell and protects against insects and decay. Experienced birders are consistently in search for quality houses built of this material, because it does not require paint or stain and does not harm the birds.
